“2018 has been a strong year for Cam Ranh Airport. The 5.21 million international passenger movements is a record high, backed by strong connectivity to China and Russia. Korea represents our fastest growing market by percentage growth, with Malaysia a close second. Both Korea and Malaysia market shares more than tripled compared to the year before. Looking forward to 2019, CRTC expects to surpass 6 million international passenger movements and further strengthening our connectivity, a sizable goal considering the many challenges facing the aviation industry such as rising fuel prices and trade tensions. The new year did start on a bright note, with Bangkok Airways’ new service linking Bangkok to Cam Ranh, representing both a new airline and a new country link,” a statement by the CRTC Management Board.
