Vietnam International Aviation Exhibition: VIAE 2022 takes place from September 15 to 17 at the Hanoi National Convention Center. With the theme "Sustainable development for a bright future". VIAE22 had oriented and strategic conference topics presented by international speakers and many senior domestic experts. Attending the conference this time, CRTC has the opportunity to meet, interact and exchange with industry partners towards common themes in 2022, such as economic recovery and post-epidemic international tourism. In addition, CRTC has accessed to new technologies and products from multinational aviation enterprises, which is a valuable reference source for the future long-term development direction of the Terminal.

NEW SIGNS FOR INDIAN MARKET

On 13 September 2022, joining within the program of the visit of Official Delegation of People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province to India which is led by Mr Le Huu Hoang – Vice Chairman of The people’s committee of Khanh Hoa province, representatives of Cam Ranh International Terminal JSC (CRTC) also has met and exchanged their point of view regarding direct flights from India – Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa) with IndiGo.

At this meeting, leaders of Khanh Hoa province have committed to support Indian airlines including images and tourism promotion between 2 destinations in order to open direct flights to Cam Ranh; this is a positive sign for tourism and aviation industry in Khanh Hoa with the potential of Indian market.

KHANH HOA WELCOMES RUSSIAN PASSENGERS BACK TO TOURISM

At dawn on December 26, 2021, flight number ZF743 of Azur Air landed safely at Cam Ranh International Airport. The flight took off from Vnukovo International Airport, Moscow, Russia carrying 324 passengers with "vaccine passports." Most were Russian tourists.

The above flight once again contributes to affirming that Cam Ranh International Airport is the aviation gateway of the South-Central region and a safe destination, meeting the standards for health and disease prevention during this period currently.

Cam Ranh International Airport successfully welcomed the first flight carrying passengers with "Vaccine passport" to Khanh Hoa

On 25 Nov 2021 afternoon, Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company (CRTC) together with other units at Cam Ranh International Airport successfully welcomed the flight number QH9451 served by Bamboo Airways routing from Incheon, Korea. The total of 290 onboard passengers departed from America, making their stop at Incheon before safely completed their flight in Cam Ranh at 14:15 local time. This is the very first piloting flight that marks another promising start in the Phase 1 of the pilot plan to welcome international tourists with "Vaccine passport" to Khanh Hoa Province.

The international flight carrying passengers with "Vaccine Passport" is a positive start, marking a new future in efforts to slowly revive the Aviation, Travel and Tourism industry in Khanh Hoa Province.

All the pandemic prevention and control procedures have been strictly applied in advance, during and after the flight was completed finished. Every airline staff have been fully vaccinated  as well as taking COVID-19 rapid test frequently, creating a protective circle for operation.

Attending the ceremony to welcome international tourists with vaccine passports to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa were leaders and management representatives from the state units and press agencies.

The success of this pilot flight to welcome international passengers with vaccine passports is the signal for the recovery of which the management units expect to be the stepping stone for the evaluation, planning and implementation to the next Phases of the Province.

 

Cam Ranh International Terminal served flight number OZ 774 of Asiana Airlines

After 20 months of serving only worldwide home-comers back to Vietnam on arrival flights, on 18 September 2021, Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) welcomed the first international departure flight served by Asiana Airlines (OZ). This flight has brought Korean citizens back to their homeland (while the inbound Incheon – Cam Ranh flight carried the Korean experts to Khanh Hoa for working). In this particular phase of time, health protection measures are strictly complied by CRTC in order to ensure the safety for passengers, flight crew and staff. This is a silver lining for the re-opening of common commercial flights to Cam Ranh International Airport, promoting the recovering of Khanh Hoa’s tourism.

AIR BUSAN LAUNCH NEW SERVICE FROM BUSAN TO CAM RANH

From 26th December 2019, the Korean friendly-budget carrier Air Busan will officially open direct flights from Busan, Korea to Cam Ranh, starting with 2 times a week. Air Busan is the 10th carrier to offer direct services linking Korea and Cam Ranh Airport.

Busan is South Korea’s second largest city and the economic, cultural and educational center of southeastern Korea. The appeal of Busan mainly comes from what it offers as a “city of yesterday,” full or arts and culture. It is a sharp contract to Seoul’s modernity, but the vibrancy is still reflected in the variety of unique cuisines and convenience of shopping districts.

A delighted CRTC Management Board claims, “Cam Ranh International Terminal continues to work with our airline partners to expand our network connectivity. Today, we are pleased to have Air Busan offer this route, pulling Busan and Cam Ranh closer together. As much as we are excited to welcome visitors from Busan to this sunny destination, we are also keen to encourage our communities in Cam Ranh and Nha Trang to discover Busan.”

The PUS-CXR service is offered 2-times weekly and operated by A320/A321 aircraft mix. BX7533 arrives into CXR at 12:50 and BX7543 departs from CXR 13:50 on Thursdays and Sundays.

AIR SEOUL THE LATEST CARRIER TO LAUNCH NEW DAILY SERVICE FROM INCHEON TO CAM RANH

Air Seoul announces the launch of the first of daily flights to Cam Ranh, starting from 18 December 2019. The route between Incheon, Korea (ICN) and Cam Ranh (CXR) runs daily each morning, with arrivals into CXR at 10:20am, with departures from CXR at 11:20am. Air Seoul will operate from Terminal 2, managed by Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) JSC.

“We are delighted to welcome Air Seoul, and in the process, to have secured another morning slot for this link between Cam Ranh and Seoul. Visitors now have more flexibility to travel conveniently at various times of the day, providing access between the multi-cultural city of Seoul and one of the fastest growing beach destinations in South East Asia,” a statement by the CRTC Management Board.

The daily scheduled service by Air Seoul bolsters Korea as the fastest growing country link to Cam Ranh Airport. Air Seoul is the 9th overall carrier to connect the city-pairs of Seoul and Nha Trang. Air Seoul operates an Airbus 321 with 195 seats on this route.

BAMBOO AIRWAYS LAUNCHES NEW SERVICE BETWEEN CAM RANH AND INCHEON, KOREA

Starting 15th November 2019, Bamboo Airways will be offering a new service between Cam Ranh Airport and Incheon Airport in Seoul. This new daily service marks the second international flight by Bamboo Airways operating out of Terminal 2 at Cam Ranh Airport, and also the 7th international airline connecting these two cities.

Seoul is the largest metropolis in South Korea, and one of the favorite destinations among Vietnamese travelers.  On the reverse, Cam Ranh and Nha Trang is also gaining popularity with the Korean travelers, with now 7 airlines in total including Bamboo Airways operating over 10 daily flights between Cam Ranh Airport and Korean destinations. Bamboo Airways complements the services by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Korean Airlines, Jeju Air, Eastar Jet and T’way Air, currently flying this route.

Cam Ranh International Terminal Information

The International Terminal (T2) at Cam Ranh Airport, recently celebrated its first Anniversary on June 30, 2019. In the first 12-months of operations, T2 handled 5.87 million passengers, reflecting an increase of 29.1% compared to the previous 12-month period. A total of 28 international airlines call onto T2 as of 30 June 2019. Designed based on Skytrax 4-Star international standards, T2 covers a total area of 50,500 sqm, made up of dedicated levels for departure and arrival processing. The terminal building has a unique architecture inspired by the shape of a swallow’s nest, native to the Khanh Hoa Province, and the waves of Nha Trang Bay - a signature representation of the South Central Coast. T2 has 4 aerobridges and 10 boarding gates, as well as advanced equipment systems supplied by prestigious international companies.
Due in part to the outstanding marketing efforts, CXR T2 is experiencing a boom in traffic. And in anticipation of greater demand, Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) Joint Stock Company is embarking on capacity enhancement works to further increase its handling capabilities to match to the phenomenal growths.
