Immigration procedure

Entry Requirements

- You must have a valid passport and a visa (or Approval Letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department for a visa on arrival) to enter Vietnam. Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay and you must have at least one blank visa page.
- Visit the Embassy of Vietnam website for the most current information.

Immigration Procedure

- Upon your arrival in Cam Ranh, please follow the “Arrivals” sign to the Arrival Immigration Halls on the ground floor for immigration clearance.
- Proceed through the automated quarantine clearance system before completing the immigration procedures at the immigration counters. View map
- Upon your arrival at Cam Ranh International Terminal, please proceed through the quarantine clearance before completing the immigration procedures at the immigration counters.
- Note: Pets are available for immigration in Vietnam with the policy of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Please reference for further info: http://www.cucthuy.gov.vn/Pages/default.aspx

VISA on Arrival

Who need and who do not need a visa to Vietnam:
Nationals of certain countries may visit Vietnam without visa for a period of time, hereunder is the list of countries and regions that have visa exemption arrangements with Vietnam.
Updates 08-June-2017: Citizens of Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain holding are exempted a Vietnam visa for 15 days.

LUGGAGE CLAIM

After immigration, you will reach the luggage claim hall.
-    Please check the nearby information displays to find out which carousel is assigned to your flight. If you have oversized luggage to claim, go to the oversized luggage claim point located right after immigration counters, on the right (View map).
-    Free trolleys can be easily found nearby the luggage carousels.

LOST & FOUND

Go to the Lost & Found counter in case of lost or damaged luggage. You can also contact the handling agent representing the airline you had travelled with.

Customs

You can bring the following items to Vietnam free of tax within the below allowance:

a. Liquors, alcoholic beverages (applicable if you are 18 years old or older)
i. Liquors containing more than 22% alcohol by volume: 1.5 liters;
ii. Liquor containing below 22% alcohol: 2.0 liters; c) Alcoholic beverages, beers: 3.0 liters.

b. Tobacco products (applicable if you are 18 years old or older)
i. Cigarettes: 200 tubes;
ii. Cigars: 100 tubes;
iii. Cut tobacco: 500 grams

c. Personal items:
Quantity and type must be relevant to the journey purpose.

d. Other items:
Total value is not allowed to exceed VND 15,000,000 (equivalent to 5,000 USD)

Visit and get a great deal at our arrival duty-free stores located at the luggage claim hall.

Under the Vietnamese law, it is mandatory for arriving travellers to pay taxes to bring in cigarettes, tobacco products and all goods exceeding the duty-free concession and import tax relief.

If you're bringing in such products, you will need to make a declaration to the checking officer at the Red Channel (View map) as you exit the luggage claim area. It is an offence to proceed to the Green Channel (View map) with goods exceeding the duty-free concession and import tax relief.

Prohibited & Controlled items

You are not allowed to bring the following items to Vietnam without proper authorization:

  • Military weapons, arms and ammunition, explosive materials, firecrackers

  • Second-hand consumer goods

  • Reactionary, depraved or superstitious cultural products or those harmful to aesthetical or personality education

  • Right-hand drive motor vehicles

  • Used spare parts for vehicles, used internal combustion engines of less than 30 horsepower

  • Discarded materials and waste

  • Asbestos materials under the amphibole group

  • Toxic chemicals under international treaties

  • Narcotics

  • Certain types of children’s toys

Tips for a smooth arrival

You can buy local pre-paid SIM cards when you arrive at the Luggage Claim Hall and Arrival Hall

ATMs and Currency Exchange counters are available 24/7 at the Arrival Hall.

Your convenience is our pleasure. The usual vehicle to take to Cam Ranh Airport is taxi, besides having bus.

Free maps, tourist attraction brochures and flyers are provided at Tourist Information center right next to the Luggage Claim Hall.
