The route will initially operate twice weekly, with plans to increase to five flights per week from January 2026 in response to rising passenger demand.

The direct Singapore–Cam Ranh connection not only provides residents of Khanh Hoa with easier access to Singapore, but also facilitates the arrival of international passengers via Changi Airport who are eager to explore Nha Trang’s tropical beaches, vibrant coastal charm, and diverse resort experiences.

On the afternoon of June 15, 2025, Vietjet Air, in collaboration with Anex Vietnam, hosted a welcoming ceremony for its inaugural direct flight from Russia to Khanh Hoa. The flight, VJ7705, departed from Vladivostok and landed safely at Cam Ranh International Terminal with 220 passengers on board.

Starting from June 15, Vietjet officially operates six scheduled flights per week from three major Russian cities – Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk, and Khabarovsk – as part of a joint initiative with Anex Vietnam. This network expansion has increased the total number of weekly flights from Russia to Cam Ranh to over 20, further enhancing international air connectivity and positioning Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa as a top beach destination for Russian passengers.

According to forecasts, Khanh Hoa Province is expected to welcome more than 60,000 Russian visitors in the first half of 2025 — a strong indicator of the province’s rising appeal and strategic importance within the Russian outbound tourism market.

On June 1, 2025, Cam Ranh International Terminal welcomed the inaugural direct flight operated by Vietnam Airlines, connecting Nha Trang (Cam Ranh) with Busan, South Korea’s second-largest city and a vibrant coastal destination.

The first flight, VN435, arrived from Busan with 186 passengers, marking the start of daily service between the two popular tourist hubs. The route is operated using the modern and efficient Airbus A321, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for passengers.

On the morning of May 12, 2025, Cam Ranh International Terminal proudly welcomed the inaugural Red Wings Airlines flight (WZ3203) from Kazan, Russia, carrying nearly 400 passengers to the stunning shores of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.

Red Wings has now become the fifth Russian carrier to operate direct flights to Khanh Hoa, joining Azur Air, Aeroflot, Ir Aero Airlines, and Ikar Airlines — reinforcing Vietnam’s appeal as a favorite destination for Russian tourists.

In April 2025, Khanh Hoa welcomed approximately 31,500 Russian visitors, marking a 30.7% increase compared to March. From January to April, the province hosted over 80,600 Russian tourists, more than 2.5 times the same period in 2024. Starting from May 2025, flights from Kazan, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, and Yekaterinburg will be operated regularly with a frequency of 4–5 flights per week, bringing around 8,000 Russian tourists to Khanh Hoa each month.

On March 23, Cam Ranh International Terminal was pleased to welcome Aeroflot Airline as it reopened the direct flight route connecting Moscow (Russia) to Khanh Hoa. The flight with flight number SU294, carrying 292 passengers, holds special significance as it is the first commercial flight in 2025 bringing Russian tourists from Moscow to Khanh Hoa after years of suspension. According to the initial plan, the airline will operate this route with a frequency of 3 flights per week.

The number of international tourists from Russia and the CIS region to Khanh Hoa is growing steadily towards the end of March. On March 25, Air Astana from Almaty (Kazakhstan) made its first landing at Cam Ranh International Terminal with 86 passengers. Air Astana operates the Almaty - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 4 flights per week (starting March 25) and the Astana - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 3 flights per week (starting March 28). With the addition of Air Astana, there are now 3 airlines operating routes from Kazakhstan to Cam Ranh with a total frequency of 14 flights per week.

Russia and Kazakhstan are two key markets that play an important role in promoting the development of Khanh Hoa tourism, especially Russian tourists. With its beautiful beaches, temperate climate, luxurious resorts, and excellent services, Khanh Hoa has always been one of the top travel choices for tourists from the land of the White Bear. As direct flights from Moscow and other Russian cities are resumed, the number of Russian tourists is expected to grow significantly in 2025.

Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company (CRTC) is honored to cooperate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Co., Ltd. to successfully welcome the flight of Azur Air with flight number ZF2577 from Irkutsk, Russia, carrying 230 passengers, which safely landed at Cam Ranh International Terminal, Khanh Hoa, at 3:30 PM on March 17th. This flight is especially significant as it marks the beginning of direct flights from Russia to Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa in 2025.

For a long time, Russia has been one of the traditional international tourist markets for Vietnam, and Khanh Hoa has always been the top destination for Russian tourists. With its beautiful beaches, pleasant tropical climate, and luxury resorts, Khanh Hoa has become the preferred choice for Russian travelers in recent years.

In addition to tourists from the CIS region, by the end of March, Cam Ranh International Terminal is expected to welcome more Russian tourists, helping to diversify the international tourist sources for Khanh Hoa province.
