Cam Ranh International Terminal Welcomes S7 Airlines' Inaugural Flight from Irkutsk

Cam Ranh City, November 29th, 2018

At 2:55AM local time, S7 Airlines inaugural flight from Irkutsk, Russia landed at Cam Ranh, etching another historic milestone for Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC). It is the first new airline since the opening of the new Terminal 2 International Passenger Building at Cam Ranh Airport (CXR). Flight S7 569 was treated to the hospitality of the inaugural event, complete with a traditional water salute for the A320 aircraft and welcome gifts for all 140 passengers.

S7 Inaugural Flight Crew were welcomed by CRTC Board of Director, ACV Representative and SAGS Representative

The Management Board of CRTC and representatives from S7 Airlines were on hand to lead the event. In the twice-weekly flight between Irkutsk and Cam Ranh, CXR expects to handle more than 30,000 passengers per year from Irkutsk alone, opening up huge opportunities for business and tourism to the Province of Khanh Hoa and the surrounding regions.

Cam Ranh Airport International Terminal Information

The International Terminal (T2) at Cam Ranh Airport was built with a total investment of VND 3,735 trillion and officially put into operation on 30 June 2018 after 19 months of construction. Developed and managed by Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) JSC, it brings much needed capacity injection into the already congested aviation market. Cam Ranh T2 is currently served by 21 international airlines and at 3.65 million international passengers in 2017, it is the 4th busiest in terms of international passenger volume handled in Vietnam.
