Bangkok Airways is the first airline to launch a new non-stop service from Bangkok to Nha Trang, Vietnam
Camranh, 10th January 2019,
Kicking off the Year 2019 on an exceptionally high note, Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company (CRTC) and Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited (Bangkok Airways) jointly announces a new service between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and Cam Ranh International Airport. Starting 25th January 2019, this new air service, served 4 times weekly is the first direct non-stop air service linking the coastal cities of Cam Ranh and Nha Trang directly to Thailand.

“It is indeed a special occasion, to finally offer the communities of Cam Ranh and Nha Trang, the first direct non-stop connection to the Kingdom of Thailand. We are delighted to welcome Bangkok Airways, Skytrax’s World’s Best Regional Airline in 2018, to the South Central Coast of Vietnam, one of newest and fastest growing beach destinations in South East Asia. Marking a new era in the development of Cam Ranh Airport, this new service to bustling Bangkok is not only as a new destination but also represents a new country link as we continue to advance our airport’s connectivity. We look forward to welcoming more tourists from Thailand, the rest of Asia, and also from Europe, via Bangkok Airways and its codeshare partners,” a statement provided by the CRTC Management Board.
Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways PCL said, "Bangkok Airways is pleased to offer this new service to Nha Trang, known as the “Riviera of Asia.” The city is situated on the Southeastern coast of Vietnam and has been one of the most desired beach holiday destinations for up-scale Vietnamese and European tourists. In addition to that, Nha Trang has experienced rapid growth in the number of visitors every year, not to mention constant support from the Vietnamese Government in putting this city on the world map. We consider this to be another milestone, as this will make Bangkok Airways the only scheduled airline to fly directly to this popular beach holiday destination from Thailand.”
“We anticipate that the majority of our passengers will be businessmen and tourists from the two countries. Moreover, having a link to Nha Trang -- Cam Ranh will make it easier for those passengers traveling aboard our code-share-partner airlines from around the world to connect to Dalat and Mui Ne, then on to Ho Chi Minh City. We are confident that with our strong reputation of offering a boutique flying experience for our passengers, Bangkok Airways will be the leading player in this market." Mr. Puttipong added.
The airline will offer four flights a week (Monday, Wednesday Friday and Sunday) with a 144-seater Airbus A319 aircraft, starting from 25 January 2019. The outbound flight PG993 will depart Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 10.20hrs and arrive Cam Ranh (Nha Trang) International Airport at 12.05hrs. The inbound flight PG994 will depart Cam Ranh (Nha Trang) Airport at 12.55hrs and arrive Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 14.40hrs.
