Boasting a significant surge in foreign visitors through its international aviation gateway, Khanh Hoa province reaffirms its status as a top-tier destination, skillfully navigating global volatility to reach its ambitious annual targets.
In the face of a shifting global tourism landscape, Khanh Hoa province has recorded remarkable growth figures in the first four months of 2026. The province welcomed approximately 1.4 million international visitors, a 33.8% increase year-on-year—a growth rate that significantly outperforms the national average. This vibrancy is most evident at the province’s international aviation gateway, which handled over 4,100 flights and nearly 830,000 passengers in less than a quarter. These figures underscore the province's persistent efforts in diversifying tourism products and expanding global air connectivity.

The most striking highlight of the early year performance is the explosive growth of the Russian and CIS markets, which surged by over 454%. Despite facing pressures from rising fuel costs and geopolitical fluctuations in the Middle East that affected flight frequencies from South Korea and China, Khanh Hoa’s tourism sector has remained resilient. Strategic flexibility in managing visitor sources, particularly the launch of new direct routes from Eastern Europe, such as Belarus, has enabled the province to fill gaps and maintain a steady upward trajectory.

Looking ahead, the province is intensifying international marketing strategies to tap into high-potential markets. Recent proactive negotiations with dozens of strategic airline partners at Asian route development forums have opened doors for deeper connectivity with Northeast and Southeast Asia. With strong determination and seamless coordination between authorities and the business community, the target of 6.3 million international arrivals and 77 trillion VND in revenue for 2026 is becoming increasingly attainable, reaffirming the enduring appeal of Khanh Hoa as a premier global destination.

By participating in the Conference announcing the master planning for the Ninh Chu National Tourism Area through 2045, combined with the 2026 tourism business gathering, CRTC continues to demonstrate its meaningful contribution to air connectivity and the development of Khanh Hoa as a destination.

As visitor numbers are expected to rise significantly during the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and April 30 holiday period, Cam Ranh International Terminal continues to affirm its role as a modern, safe, and professional aviation gateway to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

Recognized for two consecutive years among the World’s Top 10 Cleanest Airports (in the category of airports with a handling capacity of under 25 million passengers), Cam Ranh International Airport continues to elevate the passenger experience through modern facilities, cultural identity, and a strong commitment to service excellence.
