As part of the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 framework, the MET Gala 2026 Cosplay Festival, organized by ILACA Co., Ltd, will officially take place on July 18 and 19 at the 2/4 Square. The event is expected to create an explosive "fever" on social media by gathering cosplay performances from 500 models, attracting about 10,000 attendees to experience unique installation art check-in spaces, alongside displays of ancient costumes, Vietnamese costumes, and cosplay. This is considered a modern, vibrant, and high-class artistic highlight, contributing to creating diverse cultural colors, thereby positioning Nha Trang as an attractive destination for contemporary art and youth-oriented cultural activities.
The artistic discovery journey will begin from 17:00 to 20:30 on July 18 with a red carpet activity named "Time Voyage," where visitors can take souvenir photos, check-in with idols, and transform into favorite characters. Following this is the opening ceremony of the "Prelude of the waves" program, delivering a strong visual impact with 3D mapping performance technology combined with special musical acts. Moving to July 19, from 17:00 to 18:30, the stage will feature a performance by models in Vietnamese costumes themed "Mythical History of the East Sea," showcasing modernized Nhat Binh, Giao Linh, and Ao Tac designs inspired by coral reefs and giant clams from the Nha Trang sea. The event will conclude spectacularly with a cosplay performance by 50 models transforming into famous movie and comic characters, intertwined with a musical performance carrying European mythological vibes.
