Embracing the global trend of cultural tourism, Khanh Hoa is pioneering the "cultural heritage sub-city" model to transform historical values into core tourism assets. As the international aviation gateway, Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) serves as the first bridge connecting travelers to these rich heritage spaces.
Materializing its preservation and development strategy, Khanh Hoa is piloting the cultural heritage sub-city model in Ninh Phuoc and Dien Khanh communes. This initiative is systematically implemented based on the stringent criteria of Decree No. 282 (issued on July 14, 2026), which details the execution of the National Assembly's Resolution No. 28 on Vietnamese cultural development.

Accordingly, each locality boasts distinct heritage footprints to meet the requirement of possessing at least two nationally or UNESCO-recognized heritages:
- In Ninh Phuoc: The cultural epicenter of the Cham people, featuring Bau Truc pottery (recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding) and the traditional Kate Festival (a national intangible cultural heritage).
- In Dien Khanh: A convergence of Nguyen Dynasty historical values, home to the Dien Khanh Citadel (built in 1793 and fully restored in 2026), alongside the UNESCO-recognized Bai Choi folk singing art.

Creating these heritage urban areas not only preserves local identity but also generates profound tourism products, catering to the rising demand for cultural experiences among global tourists. As the first touchpoint in the South Central Coast, CRTC proudly stands ready to introduce Khanh Hoa's living cultural heritages to the world.
